A strong army does not rescue a plan that begins too late.
The challenge
Many attacks fail before the first troop is placed because the player studies the base without making a clear sequence of decisions. The timer starts, attention jumps between defenses, and the attack becomes improvised.
The usual mistake
Players often choose troops first and only afterward ask what those troops need to accomplish. A better approach begins with the base: identify the Town Hall path, the highest-risk defenses, likely trap zones, and the side that gives your army the cleanest route.
The woodshed test
Before attacking, say the plan in one sentence: “I will create the funnel here, remove this defense, enter from this side, and save this spell for that threat.” If the sentence is unclear, the attack is not ready.
The better move
Use the same checklist after every attack. Which part of the plan worked? Where did pathing change? Which spell was early or late? Improvement comes from comparing the intended attack with the actual one.
